Tomáš Rada

Tomáš completed his studies at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in 2006. He defended his doctoral thesis and completed his final doctoral exams one year after graduation (J.D.). In 2009, he passed the state doctoral exams and the bar examination. Since then he has been a practicing attorney-at-law and a member of the Czech Bar Association. In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation and obtained his Ph.D. degree.

His primary areas of expertise consist mainly in legal services concerning M&A, including the related issues, i.e. competition law (representing clients before the Office for the Protection of Competition) and financing (bank and other funding of acquisitions and business operations).

He also focuses on insolvency law, structuring investment funds, private equity, and other investment associations, venture capital, corporate law (transformations of corporations – cross-border and national mergers, divisions, spin-offs, changes in the legal form, negotiation of shareholder agreements, as well as dispute resolution among shareholders), power engineering (representing suppliers, including general contractors in performing power engineering contracts, including power engineering units), mechanical engineering, automotive, real estate property (acquisition, divestment, and administration) and wine law.

Tomáš also engages in publishing activities. He for example co-authored the commentary to the Act on Business Corporations and Viticulture and Wine-Making Act.

Tomáš is a member of Turnaround Management Association Czech Republic.

Tomáš is fluent in English and has advanced knowledge of German.
